Atlético knocks out Leicester City to enter Semi-Finals

Atlético Madrid enter their 3rd champions league semi finals in 4 years.

Saúl Ñiguez scored for Atléti as they drew 1-1 against Leicester and progress to semifinals on 2-1 aggregate. The midfielder headed in 26th minute to give Atlético crucial away goal advantage.
Jamie Vardy equalized for foxes in the second half and the match ended 1-1 with glory for Atléti.

Atlético reach their third UCL semis in 4 consecutive years. The visitors ended foxes fairytale by qualifying on away goal advantage. However Leicester gave an improved​ performance, but wasn't enough to take them further.

Atlético must wait till Friday to know whom they might play in the semi finals.

Antoine Griezmann gives Atlético narrow advantage vs Leicester. Antoine Griezmann scored from the spot kick for Atléti, as they lead 1-0 in the quarters of the champions League, with second leg to be played at King power stadium on 19th April. Albrighton fouled Griezmann and the ref awarded penalty for Atlético Madrid. The goal took Griezmann to 24 goals this season with 2 goals from last 2 games. Diego Costa's Stellar Performance helps Atléti beat Real Madrid 4 - 2 
After two hard defeats in the champions league final, it was a very important game for Atlético Madrid to overcome their arch rivals Real Madrid. With their heads held high, they did so by finally defeating Real in an European competition final. 
It all started from the kick off as Diego Costa scored from a tight angle to give Atléti with the lead. Later as Atlético sat back, Karim Benzema equallized. In the second half Real Madrid came back to take the lead after scoring from the penalty spot, but Costa restored the score to 2 - 2. As the score remained level, the match was taken to extra time. In the first period of ET, Saúl Ñíguez scored a screamer as Atléti took the lead for the second time before Koke sealed the victory by scoring the 4th goal. Diego Costa Dents Arsène Wenger's European Dream

Atlético Madrid beat Arsenal 1-0 (2-1 agg) to reach Europa league finals.
With all eyes set on Arsène Wenger's hopes of bowing out with a European trophy, were destroyed by Diego Costa - A familiar foe and a familiar story. 
Arsenal did everything but managed only one shot on target, that came off Granit Xhaka's long range effort, while Diego Costa ran chaos in the Arsenal defence. Griezmann, deep in the right flank, fizzed a diagonal cross to Costa who muscled his way to put the ball in the net. Soon it was game over as Atléti concedes rarely at home.

Earlier in the game, Laurent Koscielny was stretched off after suffering achilles injury. Chambers replaced injured Kosciely but was unable to stop Costa. During the final stoppage time Fernando Torres and Koke were toying with Arsenal defence and made sure there was no come back for the gunners.
