END OF AN ERA

Fernando Torres to leave Atlético Madrid at end of season.

Fondly known as El Niño, Torres announces he will be leaving his home Atlético for the second time in his career after deciding it was the right time.
Goodbye Legend !!!
"When I joined Atlético I was 10 years old and it's my home," said the 34-year-old. "I was lucky to debut, to play, to score goals...it's always been my home. I can have many houses, but only one home. This is my last season at the club .... it was not an easy decision, but under the circumstances it's maybe for the best. I want to continue playing somewhere else. I feel good."

Having scored 126 goals for Atlético, Torres records his name as the fifth highest goal scorer of all time and also considered as an Idol by the fans.
He also added that he would be glad to leave by winning the Europa League at the end of this season.
Atlético Madrid will play a tribute to their legend in the last match of the season against Eibar.

Torres has said that no matter what, he will always support Atlético

Well it's a really sad news to hear for all Atlético fans, but he will be remembered as a legend forever.
Gracias and good luck in your new adventure ídolo.
