Atléti delivers trademark performance against Olympique de Marseille to clinch their third UEL

3 - 0.

Atletico Madrid celebrates lifting the trophy.

Marseille dominated the opening stages but gifted Atletico the lead when Zambo Anguissa failed to control goalkeeper Steve Mandanda's pass and Gabi intercepted before setting Griezmann free to score.
Four minutes into the second half, Koke ran through the space in the Marseille midfield and slipped the ball to Griezmann who dinked the ball into the net, and captain Gabi added a late third to hand Atletico a comfortable victory.
Gabi handed over the trophy to Fernando Torres - their departing hero, who had always dreamed to win a trophy with Atletico Madrid.
